Praz Registration

What is PRAZ and what do they do?
The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) was created through an Act of Parliament, Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act [Chapter, 22:23]. The mandate of the Authority is to supervise public procurement proceedings to ensure transparency, fairness, honesty, cost-effectiveness and competition as required by Section 315 of the Zimbabwean Constitution.

Why should I register with PRAZ?
Registering with PRAZ qualifies you to conduct business with the government, its departments, ministries, parastatals or government affiliated Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO’s).

How much does it cost to register with PRAZ?
It costs US$140.00.

How long does it take to register with the Procurement Authority Regulatory of Zimbabwe?
It takes 2-5 working days to register with PRAZ.

What do I receive when I register with PRAZ?
You will receive a PRAZ certificate which shows the category you are registered in, tha name of your company, expiring date, verification code and a bar code which can be used to verify if the PRAZ certificate is aunthentic.

Is PRAZ renewable?
PRAZ expires every year on the 31st of December and has to be renewed every year.

What else do I need to to business with the government?
You need a vendor number which will allow the government to pay you for your goods or services.
